ABOUT JAZMYN

Jazmyn was born in Gary, IN to teenage parents. From birth- the odds were stacked against her. Her city had just been declared the murder capital of the nation. Her father, wanting better for his family, relocated them many times between multiple states. Though this taught Jazmyn so much more about the world than she’d ever discover in Gary, the lack of financial stability and homelessness that continuously plagued her family caused Jazmyn to spiral emotionally downward during her childhood and teen years. Jazmyn was eventually clinically diagnosed with severe depression, generalized anxiety disorder, and found herself struggling with self harm.

However, through every challenge, Jazmyn continued to use her voice and talents to make positive impact. Eventually she found her path of faith and never looked back.

One of Jazmyn’s first experiences, to serve as a beacon of light, came at the age of sixteen when she was invited to provide the keynote presentation at a commencement ceremony for a local middle school. From that moment she knew that speaking and empowering others would be her life's work. She was determined to not fall victim to her surroundings and situation and she knew education was her ticket out.
Jazmyn went on to become a first generation college graduate, earning her B.A. in Communications from Purdue University and her M.A. in Human Services with a Counseling concentration from Regent University.

"While attending Purdue University, Jazmyn became a Student News Journalist and premiered on the university's local news show, Fast Track. Over the span of her speaking career, Jazmyn has also been fortunate to present at her alma maters Purdue University & Regent University, as well as TheYMCA, ForKids Inc, Second Chances Youth Comprehensive Services, and other reputable institutions."

She has also achieved a high level of success as a successful business owner. Above all else, Jazmyn endeavors to help others emrace their life expereinces and repurpose them for positive impact!
